2 Year Californiversary

2 years ago today, I picked Robert up from LAX. He had a backpack and a duffle bag. He left is house, car, family, friends, everything – to come build a brand new life in LA with me. It still blows my mind and it probably always will.

We started out with nothing, like seriously. We didn’t even have a place to call our own; I was still living with my roommate. Luckily after just a couple weeks an apartment in the same building opened up 3 doors down! We took it! It was the simplest move ever, basically I just carried over all my clothes still on the hangers. We needed everything though – couch, bed, tv, table, kitchen stuff, EVERYTHING. So yea, I’d say we started from the bottom. Now, in that same apartment, we have a home. A home and a DeNiro!

If you ever wanna just pick up and move away, don't let the little things stop you. Eventually everything will fall into place. We're living proof!

In the last 2 years we’ve helped each other grow individually and as a team.  I’m not gonna lie and say it's been easy, but each road block and argument has been beyond worth it. Those moments have helped us build what we have together now.  We love hard.
is this not every relationship?

We do miss things about Boston a lot, mostly just the food. But we've been exploring the beauty of California in places like Palm Springs, Laguna Beach, Santa Barbara and of course Los Angeles. Our favorite places in LA are Venice Beach and Malibu… duh!
PALM SPRINGS
basically just desert hills and palm trees

LAGUNA BEACH

MALIBU

SANTA BARBARA

We also like going to the Hollywood sign for inspiration, and it's only about 10 mins away from us.
