weekendness

I wish I could write a post like "I woke up on Saturday morning and just felt like going somewhere. So I went to the airport, and flew directly to Hawaii for the day." But that's not what this is gonna be. Although, check back on that after next weekend because I plan on winning the mega millions this week.

The most exciting thing I did this weekend was GO BACK TO THE GYM. It's been forever. I actually have a free membership at two gyms thru my job but I don't use them. And the boyfriend has been going to LA Fitness for years but he hates the one he goes to here. We've been talking about joining a gym together for so long. And we finally took the jump this weekend. On Friday night, we officially became members of Crunch.

Saturday morning we went for our first workout there. He did his thing and I did mine, mostly I did cardio. I love it there so much, it's so clean and not crowded. And it's brand new, it's just so nice. Sunday morning we went again but this time we worked out together, lifting weights working on our back and triceps. It's much easier to do that stuff with him because he knows what he's doing and I don't wanna pay for a personal trainer.

I really didn't do much of anything else this weekend except lay around and be lazy. Oh we went to the mall on Saturday so he could get some gifts for his nieces and nephew. It was, of course, a madhouse. But as I walked through Macy's I spotted something through a crowd of shoppers....

Paul Walker on a Cool Water ad. I don't know if this is new or if it's super old and they're using it because of what happened. But it made me go "awww". Also, on the way to dinner Sunday night, a group of hooked up cars drove past us and had "RIP Paul Walker" on the windows. I'm assuming they had just come from the big memorial.

So the moral of this post is that... I finally got my lazy ass to make an attempt of getting in shape again. And that a lot of people are still really sad about Paul Walker.

Can't wait to read what you all did this weekend! I'm so behind in blogland, I need to catch up. Oh oh oh, remember my little post about Photoshop? Well, I downloaded the trial and..... it literally angers me to no end. I've read tutorials, I follow along and I just can't understand this damn thing. And I realized I have zero patience to learn it. I basically need someone to sit next to me and show me how to use it. So, back to Corel Paint Shop Pro for now!

You can catch more of the weekend on my instagram.

Please go to Hawaii and do lots of vlogs so we can bask in the beautifulness from behind our screens.

  4. Photoshop and me are not friends, I am pretty sure Photoshop is determined to not work for me. My boyfriend who is a graphic designer and uses Photoshop likes its second nature has tried teaching me numerous times but for some reason its just not happening. Best of luck if you continue figuring it out, I will be sure to share if I find some tips on making it more understandable!

  10. Girl you got the right idea. I love working out with Pete 'cause I KNOW he won't let my lazy ass slack. He has absolutely perfected the judgy "Are you sure that was 50 reps?" routine. There are some perks to marrying an autistic man ;) And I love that you're still giving PW love 'cause I'm still deleting people left and right for posting insensitive hooey.

  12. You should watch some Youtube videos. Some things are still pretty hard... but at least you can see the step-by-step in action!

Hope you enjoy the new gym. I've heard Photoshop is awesome but it seems like you need to take a college course on how to fully use it. Its one reason I have never tried it.

  15. First - I love your header. TOO CUTE.

And good for you for getting back in the gym. What I love even more is you "didn't wait until after the holidays" or "start Monday". I give you major kudos!!!

It is still so sad about Paul Walker, I can't believe it. His eyes go straight to the soul.

  18. Hi. Your GFC isn't functioning. I'm trying to follow as part of the $250 giveaway that ends tomorrow. I'll check back later in hopes that it's been fixed. It was giving me the same error yesterday "sorry busy try again" something like that.

  19. i don't know what's wrong with it or how to fix it. and google never answers. but i think if you click on the double square in the corner of the widget it brings you to the right place.

  21. Good for you for going to the gym. I haven't been to one since college — not since some dude at LA Fitness traumatized and shamed me with his scare-tactic sales pitch when my friend and I were just using guest passes for the sauna. I had a Crunch yoga DVD I liked, and apparently one is coming to Pittsburgh. Keep us updated how it goes!
